Background
My father was a diplomat in Ghana, my mother a teacher. When they moved our family to the UK, they brought something most people underestimate. The belief that the next generation should have more, and the discipline to make it happen. They taught me resilience, hard work, peace under pressure, and to be ambitious without apology.
As a kid I was drawn to solving problems nobody else had bothered with. Kids thirsty after lunch with nowhere nearby to buy a drink. I fixed that. People wanting things that were hard to get hold of. I removed the friction. Not for the game of it. Because identifying what someone needed and making it easier to get felt like the most natural thing in the world.
I studied electronics, computing and business, and had plans to join the Royal Navy as an officer. Life had other ideas. I ended up in tech as an engineer, shipping firmware into Amazon Firesticks and Roku devices, building silicon that powered 100m+ devices and 40+ global audio brands. Then I started a salsa school in Norfolk on the side. Running it taught me more about product than any job had.
Seventeen years later I am a Senior PM with experience across Meta, Frontier Smart, and embedded engineering. Same instinct throughout: find the friction, remove it, make sure the value created outweighs the cost to build it.
